Hedge roses and climbing roses are not the same thing. Hedge roses are typically compact, bushy roses that are often used for creating hedges or borders in gardens. Climbing roses, on the other hand, have long canes that can be trained to grow up trellises, walls, or other structures. While both types of roses can be beautiful additions to a garden, they have different growth habits and uses. **

Wild roses and climbing roses are not the same thing. Wild roses are species of roses that grow naturally in the wild, and they can have a variety of growth habits including climbing, trailing, or shrubby. Climbing roses, on the other hand, are a specific type of rose that have been bred and cultivated to have long, flexible canes that allow them to climb and cover structures such as trellises, fences, and walls. While some wild roses may have a climbing habit, not all wild roses are climbers, and not all climbing roses are wild. **

Yes, roses can freeze in cold temperatures. When the temperature drops below freezing, the water inside the cells of the rose plant can freeze, causing damage to the plant. To protect roses from freezing, it is important to cover them with a protective material, such as burlap, or bring them indoors during cold weather. Additionally, planting roses in a location with good air circulation and avoiding late-season pruning can help reduce the risk of freezing. **
